Mañana

Ostatni dzien w Ciudad del Este. Stwierdzamy zgodnie: to byl dobry czas. Wprawdzie w tym czasie ¨Trio Do Rio¨ niestety zamienilo sie w ¨Duo Sie Tula¨:), ale wreszcie moglysmy tak naprawde wypoczac, wyspac sie, nabrac sil po trzytygodniowej gonitwie przez Brazylie i Argentyne. Moze tez podswiadomie wpasowalysmy sie w leniwy swiat Indian, w poludniowoamerykanskie ¨mañana¨? Bo Indianie tak juz maja - nie spiesza sie, troszke popracuja (jesli musza), a potem robia minimum parogodzinna przerwe, podczas ktorej pija terere i gawedza. I tak jest fajnie. Od Ojca Grzegorza dowiedzialsymy sie, ze rozmowa jest dla Indian bardzo wazna czescia kazdego dnia. Kiedys w kazdej wiosce indianskiej musial byc centralny plac, na ktorym wszyscy mogli sie gromadzic i rozprawiac o sprawach waznych i mniej waznych. Nikt nikomu nie przerywal i kazdy mial tyle czasu na wypowiedz, ile potrzebowal. Niesamowita zgodnosc, ktorej czesto brakuje w naszym spoleczenstwie.
Wrazenie zrobily tez na nas opowiesci o Rodzinie w indianskiej kulturze. Rodzina to priorytet, to skarb, to cos, co jest dla nich najwazniejsze. Dzieci zawsze sa jak najblizej matki, noszone od urodzenia tuz przy jej ciele. Potem te, ktore potrafia juz chodzic, podazaja na chwiejnych jeszcze nozkach zawsze tuz za nogami mamy, a miejsce w nosidelku zajmuje kolejny noworodek:) I choc z jednej strony Indianie zrobia wszystko, zeby ich dzieci byly szczesliwe i dbaja o nie, jak tylko moga, to z drugiej, kiedy juz nie sa w stanie ich wykarmic, potrafia po prostu je zostawic. Niesamowity dualizm, ktory tak trudno nam zrozumiec...

Zegnamy wiec Ciudad del Este, zegnamy anielskiego Ojca Grzegorza i Padre Felipe. A wszytkie zdobyte tu informacje i doswiadczenia zachwujemy gleboko w naszych wspomnieniach :)

Our last day in Ciudad del Este. We’ve agreed that it was a good time. Admittedly in this time ‘Trio to Rio’ has transformed into ‘Obambulating Duet’, but finally we had a real chance to rest, sleep, get new strength after three-weeks-race through Brazil and Argentina. And maybe, not being fully aware of it, we’ve fitted in to this lazy world of Indians, in to South American ‘mañana’? Because it’s how the Indians are – the don’t hurry, they work a little (if they must), then they take minimum few hours break to drink terera and to chat. And it’s good like this. We’ve found out form father Gregory, that conversation is for Indians a very important part of every day. There was a central square once in every Indian village, where everyone could gather and talk about very important and less important matters. No one had interrupted anyone and everyone had as much time as one needed for the statement – an incredible accordance which we often lack in our society.
A great impression on us made a story about Family in the Indian culture. Family is a priority, it’s a treasure, something most important for them. Children are always as close as possible to the mother, who carries them form the moment of birth just by her body. Then the ones who can walk, on still unstable legs, follow their mother, and the place in a handle take a new infant :). But when on one hand the Indians will do anything, to make their children happy, they care for them as much as they can, on the other hand, when they are not able to feed them, they can just abandon them. It’s an amazing duality, very hard to understand…

So we are saying good-bye to Ciudad del Este, to the angelic father Gregory and padre Felipe. And all the information and experiences we keep deep in our memories :).
